I have been a student of Mamun’s for nearly two years and have made remarkable progress thanks to his attentiveness and comprehensive teaching style. When I first started, I had no experience with oil painting, but his clear and demonstrative approach to both technique and theory made it easy to grasp the fundamentals. From the beginning, Mamun encouraged me to approach painting boldly — to put paint to canvas without hesitation, then step back, think critically, and refine my work. This mindset has been instrumental in my artistic growth.
As I advanced, Mamun’s more laissez-faire teaching style granted me the autonomy and confidence to tackle challenging compositions. At the same time, his technical guidance often made the critical difference in elevating my paintings. His generosity with his time and his passion for teaching are truly inspiring. It’s evident that he takes great pride and joy in his students’ success.
